The touch pad cannot function well without the driver. I think its critical that it is installed

I HATE it! Pointer keeps JUMPING to where I do NOT want it! A few ago it opened a bookmark on its own! Further, it is NONresponsive when I want it to do something. Then I get frustrated and click it again, and it JUMPS to some weird place on the screen and clicks THAT INSTEAD.I HAT IT. I want to get some other program to do the touchpad. HP Pavilion. 7. EVERY time I use that laptop I wind up CURSING! That is NOT RIGHT, that I must HATE IT so.

Not good. It just kept messing with my touch-pad... now I can't live without a real mouse lol

Latest Version of Synaptics Driver. Actually, the latest version is v19.0.4.0, dated 16-APR-2015

Mad-Beyond-Belief. Did not work with windows 8.1 64 bit. Tried every single compatible mode there was. Evidently there is no working synaptics touchpad program for windows 8.1 64 bit. Only suggested fix that seems to work is use a mouse. Can not do... I bought a brand new, non-touch-screen laptop with a trackpad that is nothing but trash. No answers anywhere on line. This user is madd-beyond-belief
